How do I set up a department to override an employee's normal pay?
PayClock Online can use a department transfer to trigger a special calculation rule. This special rule can be defined so an employee is paid a different wage for time worked in the department. This feature is only available in PayClock Online Enterprise.
- Choose Setup in the navigation list.
- From the slide out menu select Departments.
- Choose the department you wish to work with from the list. If you need to create a new department select + New.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- Choose how the employee's base wage will be overridden from the Pay Rate optionFlat Rate, Percentage of Base Pay or Add to Base Pay..
- Enter the override value and select Save.
