How do I set up a department to override an employee's normal pay?

 

PayClock Online can use a department transfer to trigger a special calculation rule. This special rule can be defined so an employee is paid a different wage for time worked in the department. This feature is only available in PayClock Online Enterprise.

  1. Choose Setup in the navigation list.
  2. From the slide out menu select Departments.
  3. Choose the department you wish to work with from the list.  If you need to create a new department select + New.
  4. Go to the Advanced tab.
  5. Choose how the employee's base wage will be overridden from the Pay Rate optionClosedFlat Rate, Percentage of Base Pay or Add to Base Pay..
  6. Enter the override value and select Save.
